Sheen apparently learned his lesson that gimmicks don’t replace the actual reason for him being there. In his second night, in Chicago, the embattled actor sat down with an interviewer and spent the entire show discussing everything from his custody battle with Brooke Mueller to his use of drugs to his issues on the set of Two and a Half Men. He hinted that he would have liked to return to the show and that Jon Cryer was not a troll at all. He also put in some digs about the people in Detroit that booed him basically off the stage the night before. If he had done a show like he did this time, he probably wouldn’t have had that.
The show wasn’t entirely without a bit of Sheenism. At one point, he took his shirt off and swapped it with a man in the audience and of course, his goddesses (Bree Olson and Natalie Kenly) were on hand as well.
But the show went much better because he gave the people what they wanted. A chance to see and here Sheen speak of his life, his trials and tribulations, in a personal manner. Not to indoctrinate them into the warlock cult. And so at the end of the 90 minute talk show, people cheered and no one walked out demanding their money back. The new format and positive response bodes well for the actor who still has 18 cities to go. We give him credit for pulling the new format out of his hat in such a quick amount of time. Guess some of that warlock magic works after all.
Sheen was apparently so thrilled with the show that he was out partying in Chicago afterwards and tweeted how much he loved Chicago.
