There is more casting news from the Anger Management Team, Charlie’s new comedy about a former baseball player who must now seek counseling for his own demons. These new ones are mostly concerning one facet of the show, the group therapy sessions. Each will have a recurring role with their own reason for being there which will be discovered as time goes on.
Noureen DeWulf, who was in the short lived shows Hawthorne and Outsourced (which I really enjoyed) in addition to the movie Ghosts of Girlfriend’s Past to name a few, will be put into the role of a socialite who after finding her husband cheating on her, decides to shoot him. Some women wouldn’t blame her, but the judge finds that the perpetrator of the crime of passion could use a little therapy for her anger.
Michael Arden also is joining the cast. He’s a bit of a wildcard because though he’s had some guest roles on TV is actually more known for his singing and composing on Broadway. He recently starred with Barbara Streisand in Broadway Baby and has done a ton of classic musicals such as Pippin and West Side Story. It will be interesting to see how he fits into the dynamic. The good news is that Broadway actors are used to long hours and heavy schedules, which will help if Anger Management should get picked up for 90 more episodes.
Well Charlie’s almost got all of it together, along with the other producers, but they are still missing a few casting spots, but they will most likely get these filled fairly quickly so that they can begin principle photography in March.
Anger Management is scheduled to be on FX sometime in 2012.
