Just some quick blurbs about our favorite warlock, but first a correction…

It was assumed that it was Emilio Estevez that Charlie was referring to when he tweeted his phone number to his five million followers on Twitter, but later it was discovered that it was actually teen pop sensation Justin Bieber that he was trying to reach out to. Not sure why though. After his number went out, Charlie did actually answer some of the phone calls he received with things like “Ray’s Pizza” and “Winning”, much to the delight of those that got through. But now the number has been disconnected. No great shock there.

You know it’s a slow news day when they talk about how Charlie actually behaved at an event, but that’s exactly what happened when Sheen presented the Best Shooter award at Spike TV’s Video Game Awards. We never really pegged him as the gamer type, but it’s cool. Also appearing was host Zachary Levi (Chuck) who is a big gamer and such stars as Seth Green, Felicia Day (who has made a career of her gaming prowness), LL Cool J, Tony Hawk, Hulk Hogan, Brooklyn Decker and others.

And if you are in Canada, expect to see Charlie Sheen once again on your TV screens as Anger Management has just been picked up by CTV. But it’s not clear whether or not it will begin airing at the same time as FX, who will be starting the series in the summer of 2012. In order to welcome the Canadians to the possible viewer list for his show, Sheen said that they seemed like the nicest people in the world, but they have some anger issues because they drink beer, smack each other with wooden sticks and put on shoes with sharp blades. Not sure picking on your audience is the best way to win hearts and minds, but we’ll see.

And finally, Charlie’s old boss Chuck Lorre tells TV Guide his side of the story in the whole firing thing that we’ve all pretty much been done with. He speaks of how he was afraid that Sheen was going to die if things kept up the way they were going or that someone else would get hurt because of his friend of eight year’s cocaine addiction. And so the decision to separate from the show either meant him or Sheen and Lorre was actually willing to step aside, but it was thought best that Sheen was the one to get the axe. The show would have probably just ended there, but Lorre didn’t want to see everyone out of work and decided to see if he could continue it with a new actor, Ashton Kutcher. Lorre says he wishes that Sheen hadn’t considered him a traitor and it sounds like he misses his friend a lot.
