Sheen may love baseball, but when it comes to his daughter, soccer is the game. TMZ caught the 46 year old actor, dressed all in black, but in his typical hat and glasses, spending some quality time with Denise Richards, their two children and her adopted daughter Eloise, playing the proud papa. A very contrasting sight from what has been a rough year for him, with everything from restraining orders, allegations of domestic abuse, fear that he was actually losing his mind and believing he was a warlock, and others things. Richards was even quoted as saying that she wasn’t in a good place with him as early as last April. So to see him and her return to that good place is a welcome vision indeed.

Since Sheen has a tendency to put his life out there, especially with his pension for Twitter, he has taken a lot of flack for perhaps orchestrating these moments to show him in a new light, to prove to the world that he has really changed. But honestly, I believe he is sincere. There is nothing like a father’s pride at watching his daughter in a play or running down the field in a soccer game, comforting them if they don’t win, basically being there for them. In the wake of a tragedy, where Sheen really did hit bottom, it seems that he’s realized what’s really important to him and that’s family. And so I think he’s really trying to repent for the time he’s lost and I hope that his ex-wives will continue to let him do so. The fact that they are still communicating, and even laughing and hanging out like friends, is a testament to his ability to smooth things over, a cool virtue that any guy would like to have.
