Sheen may have a new job when he starts filming Anger Management for a yet to be announced network, but you probably won’t see him in any advertisements anytime soon, until perhaps his star gets hammered back into place.

In a poll of the most popular and trusted celebrities by Reuters/Ipsos, they asked people to rate how much they trusted or mistrusted a long list of celebrities. At the top of the trust list was Betty White, Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Oprah, and Clint Eastwood. On the other side of the coin, Charlie rated second behind Paris Hilton for the ones that people would not trust in an advertisement. Also high on the list of mistrust were adulterers Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tiger Woods. And so, if the advertising industry is paying attention to this poll, right now he seems to be a pariah in that department.

But things change from day to day. One minute you are at the bottom, the next at the top or vice versa. Look at Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was one of the most beloved action heroes on the Silver Screen and his soaring star even helped him to become the Governator of California. But once news broke of him cheating on Maria and having a love child, he’s apparently hit the skids in popularity.

In my opinion, I don’t see what the trust issue is really with Sheen. He’s been very open about everything that is going on to the point of fatigue and pain. Sure he parties, sure he gets wild or thinks he’s a warlock with tiger blood. Okay, he may not be a good fit for someplace like Morgan Stanley or Chase Bank, but hey put him in a liquor commercial and I’m sure it would stir up some business. Sheen’s got to be more interesting than that most interesting guy in the world, don’t you think?
