Parents are important when you are two years old and in those development years, but it seems like for Bob and Max, Sheen’s twin sons, they currently have neither one.
As you already know, Brooke Mueller is headed back to rehab after slipping off the wagon, more determined to sober up and beat the addiction that led Amy Winehouse to her grave. She has been inducted into a very intense drug addiction center in Mexico with a 7 day detox program. You also know that her and Charlie Sheen had finally come to an agreement on joint custody, where he would take care of the kids certain days a week and pay around $55K in child support. And so it would seem that he would be hopping at the chance to care for his children while she is taking care of that. But according to reports, he hasn’t seen them in weeks.
Now the kids aren’t just left out on the street of course, they are being looked after by Mueller’s mom and sister, but according to reports, Charlie hasn’t even tried to make contact to visit them for a month. Rather he is held up at home while unemployed, presumably until his stint in Anger Management begins.
It’s easy to assume that he doesn’t want to see the kids, or just doesn’t care, but there is another possibility. That Sheen and Mueller’s family are not exactly on speaking terms, so going over to get the kids is more of a nightmare than a pleasure. Of course, fathers would argue that they would do anything to see their kids and that’s no excuse, but it’s hard to judge from the outside. Perhaps it was only Brooke who was able to mediate the visits.
Either way, it’s a shame that these poor two year old boys’ parents can’t get it together to be with them in these years. They grow up fast and how much one misses is amazing. Even if they are divorced, they need to feel the love of their parents, and not just the relatives.
