Charlie Sheen, who just landed a new job with Lionsgate, has used his warlock power for good once again, by helping another charity. As you know, Sheen has a Twitter account that reaches over 2 million people. So when CHERUBS, which is a charity that helps families and children born with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), sent him a tweet asking for his help, he was glad to do so.

But they didn’t want money. You see, CHERUBS is a regional finalist in the 2011 Vivent Gives Back competition. And their winning relies on votes from the public to earn the $250,000 prize that is awarded to the charity that gets the most votes. Considering that they work on a budget of only $35,000 a year that would be big for them. They say that they will use the money, if they win, to provide support and financial assistance to families struggling with the defect and the other half will go towards genetic research to help find a way to prevent the crippling and dangerous medical condition from happening to begin with.

So they asked Sheen if he could tweet a challenge out to get 25,000 followers to vote. And he did just that, tweeting and retweeting throughout the day, making it his personal quest to make sure that he met the challenge.

They can say all they want about Charlie Sheen, but you got to give him credit for his kindness to those in need.
