Charlie Sheen has finally come to realize that he’s really not welcome back at Two and Half Men. Especially since Chuck Lorre announced this week that he is hiring Ashton Kutcher (70’s Show, Punk’d) to be a new character on the show. Kutcher said that he could not replace Charlie, but he would work his butt off to entertain the audience. Sheen, of course, predicted that the show would tank without him. We’ll have to see when next season rolls around. But I will say this, I do think that Kutcher is really not the right guy for this. The thing that made Two and Half Men so good is that we saw Charlie as what he is in real life so that the comments were even funnier. The whole dynamic with Kutcher won’t be the same as we don’t see him in the same light.
Meanwhile, Charlie may have some acting plans if the producers of Entourage have something to say about it. The HBO series is courting Sheen to do at least a cameo in Season 8 of the show. For those of you who haven’t seen it, Entourage is about an agent and the ins and outs of Hollywood. It has had many celebrities make appearances on the show from Emmanuelle Crique, Jamie Lynn Sigler (Sopranos), Jessica Alba, Val Kilmer, Gary Busey, Brooke Shields, Anna Faris, Kanye West, Zac Efron, among others. Sheen would fit right in and who knows, perhaps that cameo will turn into a longer role. If I were him, I would get his agent to call the guy back.
