Sheen, in recent days, has been hinting around that he was now in talks with Warner Brothers, who hired him for the role in Two and Half Men, to perhaps return to the show, but the studio denies this adamantly. In a very heated letter, WB was very clear that there were no discussions relating to his return. The studio went even further to say that there would be no chance at all, even though Sheen told a Boston Radio station that there was an 85%. Who is lying is anyone’s guess, but we have a tendency to believe WB because otherwise by getting him back, that could void the lawsuit and get production back on track. Instead the show is still in limbo, Lorre undecided about its future. His lawyer claims that the discussions that Sheen was referring to was the ones about his settlement and unpaid compensation under his contract, not him coming back to the show.
Before the chaos of Sheen’s blowup started, he did a guest appearance on a new show that is being hosted by Drew Carey. If you remember, Carey had a show called Who’s Line Is It Anyway, an improv program that featured some of the sharpest minded comics around, including Wayne Brady and Steven Colbert. He has brought back that same format to the Game Show Network with Improv-A-Ganza and had tapped Sheen to do some skits with them. Below is a preview of the show with Sheen. It is bleeped out in parts, so you may want to keep this in mind if you are at work.
Sheen’s ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, was ordered early in the morning to report to an LA clinic for a drug and alcohol test. The random mandatory requests are due to the issues in the case of their two sons, for whom they are battling for custody. Sheen and Mueller both have a history of addiction, although both sides now claim they are sober. The actor will also undergo one soon, probably as soon as his tour returns to the states. He is currently in Canada performing his Violent Torpedo of Truth tour in Toronto.
Speaking of which, expect Sheen to be a little more irritable in his Canadian shows, especially the two in Toronto. He normally smokes during the show, perhaps to calm his nerves, but will not be able to light up in the venues he’s playing due to laws about public smoking. There will actually be a health inspector there to make sure that Sheen complies with the law. Hopefully the heckling will be kept to a minimum and we don’t see him go overboard at the criticism.
