Charlie Sheen certainly has been riding the rollercoaster of live performances this weekend. As we mentioned the other night, his show on Friday at New York’s Radio City Music Hall ended in disaster as he was literally booed for the entire hour he performed. He just couldn’t seem to get the momentum going after the heckling started five minutes in.

But then his show in Connecticut went quite well and Sheen says that it’s the best one they’ve had so far. Well considering only Chicago and Ohio at this point had Sheen somewhat winning, that’s not that much of a stretch. The ticket prices were seriously down, giving a chance for more of Sheen’s core audience to attend, versus only the wealthy who expect a more upper brow humor for their bucks. Some say that tickets went for as low as $18. When he comes and just rambles on for $18, you don’t mind it so much. $104 is a lot to ask.

His second New York appearance at Radio City Music Hall went much better than expected (some tickets were chopped in half pricewise). Since he didn’t do so well with canned interview questions, Charlie basically decided to open the floor up for questions from the audience, for which he answered in an entertaining way and very few people actually booed him or left. He was surprisingly humble thoughout, saying that Chuck Lorre, his old boss on two and half men didn’t suck too bad. I guess that’s about as good an apol (half an apology) as Lorre’s going to get. He also tried to make amends to Jon Cryer, his co-star on the very popular show.

One interesting moment came when a guy who was being thrown out by security was not only allowed to stay, but joined Sheen on stage to play harmonica.

Of course, joining Sheen later was his two goddesses, Bree Olson and Natalie Kenly. After his success in CT, he was also seen partying there with Megan Levant, his new girlfriend. We wonder when she will be named the third goddess since Mila Kunis was reported to be grossed out by the musings of her being the third.

Anyway, his next stop on the Violent Torpedo of Truth tour will be in Boston, MA at the Agannis Arena on April 12th and then Trump Taj-Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ on the 16th.

Randy Quaid, who has had his own troubles lately, wants to open for Sheen for at least one venue, Vancouver, his newly christened hometown. The two starred together in Major League Baseball and so there is a history there. While Quaid claimed his offer was greeted favorably, Sheen’s camp refuted that by saying that there will be no pre-show whatsoever, just like his other venues after Detroit. But since he has stars showing up, why not at least invite Quaid on stage for a little bit? He’s a funny guy and pretty popular to the same crowd who enjoyed Sheen’s show. We could think of worse. This would pretty much be the only opportunity for them to reunite, seeing as though Quaid cannot come back to the US, claiming asylum in Canada after getting in legal hot water over skipping out on a check and staying in a house they didn’t own anymore. Seems the two would be good together.
