It’s April Fools, but since reality is so much better than fiction, here is the real Charlie Sheen news…
The first stop of Charlie’s Violent Torpedo of Truth tour will be in Detroit and he’s gotten quite a buzz there. He detailed a couple of his plans for the show, when he decided to get help from local radio stations, WQKI (95.5) and WRIF (101.1). WQKI aided the performer in getting a lady to sing the Star Spangled Banner for his show, for which they held auditions on YouTube. The winner was Kelley Jean, who is owner of a limo company and has her own adult website. WRIF, meanwhile, found him an intern for the night to work with him onstage during the show. That honor went to Lisa Jacques, who is a student at Oakland College. Both will appear with Sheen, who has said that Snoop Dogg will also join him at the Fox Theatre as well. The Detroit show is scheduled April 2nd. There still may be tickets available from either the box office, or the many scalpers around.
Charlie may have trouble finding a place to stay when he plays at Radio City Music Hall. It seems that he has been banned from most hotels for trashing the rooms there, although there are still alternatives. We hear that Motel 6 has guest quarters suitable for a winning warlock, and at reasonable prices.
We haven’t talked about it recently, but the Be Charlie’s Intern contest is still going on. They have rounded out the 75,000 applicants into 250. The third round requires contestants to make up a 3 minute video of why they should be the one and how they would further his social media interests. People from all over the country are part of the latest round of finalists. No word on when a decision will be made.
Charlie Sheen is being sued for a cool $20 million, and that’s not in warlock bucks. It seems that Charlie’s uncle had setup a reality TV show for himself, but given all that was going on, he was talked out of it by Charlie, as well as Martin Sheen and his wife Janet. Ed Meyer, who was to produce the show and who will defend himself in the suit, says that they ruined his project and he wants reparations for the loss.
And Sheen will show his improvisation skills on Drew Carey’s new show for the Game Show Network. The series, which will focus on stars improvising through scenes, will appear nightly in primetime on the cable channel. Sheen’s episode will be shown on April 12th, and should give insight into his comedic talents on the spot. Don’t get too encouraged that it will be full of tiger blood and Adonis DNA. The show, taped before a live studio audience at the MGM Grand Hotel is Las Vegas, was taped before he started telling people he was a warlock.
And that’s all the Charlie Sheen News we have at the moment.
