When we talked about Brooke Mueller, Sheen’s ex-wife, we said that Charlie wants to take care of the kids in her absence, while she’s dealing with her drug addiction. That sounded like he was pushing for custody of Max and Bob, but that’s not true according to the actor.
Sheen says he will not seek sole custody of the children in the wake of her indiscretions in Colorado that landed her in prison, because doing so would just make matters worse and his goal is to help Mueller get through her issues, not cause more stress on her life. The current agreement provides for this sort of issue, which is to allow Brooke’s mother primary care of the children in case it’s necessary. The two were in a bitter custody battle at one point that involved accusations of drug and alcohol abuse on both sides, giving pause to the judge to wonder if either of them were good parents, but they finally reached a settlement that everyone could live with and Sheen says it doesn’t make sense to change that.
In the meanwhile, Mueller is saying that when all the facts come out in the case, she is hoping that the drug possession and assault charges will be dropped. We certainly hope so for her children’s sake, but getting caught with the drug on hand is pretty tight evidence, but perhaps there is more to the story than meets the eye. And right now, all of it is strictly alleged.
