Charlie Sheen returned to the glamour of movie making yesterday, as he started work in the starring role of A Glimpse Into the Mind of Charlie Swan III and what an explosive day it was.

No, we aren’t talking about Charlie going crazy on set and arguing with the director, throwing coffee at an aide, or anything like that. What we are talking about is a still released today that shows Sheen literally running full throttle away from an explosion as part of the day’s shooting. And this was only his first day. Of course, the actor has experience in war movies such as Navy Seals, Red Dawn, and the comedy Hot Shots, and so this was probably all just another blast from the past for him.

But he kept his humor up and when asked how he liked being back on a movie set, Sheen said he was having two and a half times more fun than he did on his previous gig. Yes, he went there. I guess he couldn’t resist the joke.

The independent film, which also stars Bill Murray and Aubrey Plaza, does not currently have a release date.
