Aubrey Plaza, who stars in Parks and Recreation as the very low key, but funny April Ludgate, will be joining Charlie Sheen in his return to the silver screen in A Glimpse Into the Mind of Charlie Swan III.
The movie, which is being directed by Roman Coppola, is about a guy who’s a lot like Sheen in real life. He’s a graphic designer that is totally into parties and babes and can’t seem to get enough of the lifestyle, that is, until his girlfriend dumps him because she can’t take it anymore. He must then climb out of the despair she left him in and go on with life. Sound familiar?
Plaza will play the producer that works with Sheen in his business, hopefully adding some great comedy to the mix, although she’s a fine actress as well. It’s unclear though whether she will wind up being a love interest in the film or a conquest or neither.
The film is still very much in its early stages and is being independently produced, which is why it’s not yet in the IMDB. Since they are currently in the preproduction phase of casting the movie, we don’t expect to see it out until at least Spring 2012 if not later.
Meanwhile Charlie Sheen will be appearing in another film next year called She Wants Me. He’ll play an unspecified character called…wait for it…Charlie. There’s a shock. I wonder why every character that Charlie plays lately has the same name? Vanity or confusion at being called something else? Anyway, we aren’t sure how big a role he’ll have, but the movie also stars Josh Gad, Kristin Ruhlin, and Hilary Duff.
