It’s no secret that Charlie has been what some would call unhinged as of late, and that is what Producer Jeff Ross hopes to correct in what he calls a comedy intervention when they roast him on Comedy Central on September 19th.
Ross said that they are not looking for big stars to come and just tell jovial anecdotes and get in a few zingers, but are more interested in people who can make a difference in the words they speak towards Charlie. He says there are things that he needs to hear from friends and acquaintances. That it in a bizarre way, the jabs coming from those who are important to him, may have a far more therapeutic value than a couple of laughs.
Who will do the roasting is still very much hush, hush. Capri Anderson, the porn star who was involved in the hotel room altercation, and supposedly took his watch, has asked to be part of the roasting, but it’s unlikely that she will be included. Ross was quite interested at the prospect, again because he is trying to line up those that are friendly and those that have beefs, but Sheen said that the only way he’d allow it is if she brought his watch back the same way she snuck it out.
The roast will be hosted by Family Guy creator and funnyman Seth McFarlane.
