It’s been quite a day or two for Charlie Sheen. First he and his legal team announced that they will be suing Chuck Lorre and Warner Brothers for $100 million dollars to settle what Sheen sees as the production company’s breach of contract. His lawyers say that the powers that be at the studio had no problem with his behavior before and did not balk when he signed a two year contract with them, despite being in rehab and in legal hot water over a domestic dispute involving a knife. That it wasn’t until he rallied against Chuck Lorre that he got fired, which should have been covered by the First Amendment. The suit also tries to get pay for the cast and crew for the remaining of the 24 episode. Sheen also states that his contract says that he has to get paid for the remaining time, even if he doesn’t work, often called a Pay or Play clause. Insiders think that Charlie will be able to convince Lorre and Warner Brothers to settle out of court, but they aren’t sure whether that will be good enough for Sheen. Of course Lorre and company consider the lawsuit pure fantasy.
Charlie Sheen’s house got raided by the LAPD on Thursday night, who was executing a search warrant after someone had reported that he had weapons in the house, which is against the restraining order that his wife had gotten. Sheen and his lawyer, as well as others, sat in the backyard as the police went through the house. They didn’t find anything but some bullets and an old antique rifle that they confiscated, but did not charge him for violation. He was not arrested.
He and his ex-wife both took drug tests on Friday at a testing lab in California, his goal is to show that he is clean, which he hopes will help with his custody battle for his two sons Max and Bob. Brooke Mueller also feels that she tested clean as well.
The other day, we talked about Ginger Lynn and how she had nothing but kind words to say, while selling his stuff on her auction site. We mentioned that he and Kelly Preston had broken up from their engagement, which cleared the way for him to court Lynn. Well now Preston is speaking out for the first time about her past beau. She says that there is a beautiful person inside and that he’s a great man despite all that has been said about him. And her prayers go out to him. It’s amazing how he broke up with these women and they still support him. Preston is currently married to John Travolta.
Hollywood studio Morgan Creek Productions is interesting in signing Charlie Sheen and he went for a meeting with the CEO of the company James Robinson. After the meeting, Robinson talked to E! News and revealed that Sheen was interesting in bringing back the Major League movie franchise, once again playing Rick Vaughn as he had before. He found Sheen to be completely sober and very competent and was quite ready to work with the actor.
And finally, an overzealous stalker was arrested after he tried to climb the wall to the Charlie’s house, after finding a way into the well guarded Mulholland Estates, a gated community. The 26 year old was arrested by security guards and then handed over to the LAPD that returned to the place they had just raided. The intruder has been charged and his bail set at $1000 which seemed a bit low actually.
Sheen, as well as other actors, sent his prayers out to the people of Japan who suffered a horrible disaster overnight when a 8.9 earthquake hit off the coast of Japan, followed by a 30 foot tsunami.
