Ginger Lynn, one of the hottest porn stars in the 80’s, apparently had a two year relationship with Charlie Sheen quite sometime ago and is solidly in his corner, even though she hadn’t seen him in 15 years. Lynn says that there is a side of Charlie that is being lost in the negativity surrounding him. That he can be kind, caring, sensitive, even insecure, all of which don’t seem to make the news like his rantings do. But even she sees a chance to make some money and admits that selling his stuff now was motivated by the fans going crazy for all things Sheen.

She will be putting up on her auction site (gingerlynnauctions.com (Warning: It’s a very adult site!)) a whole assortment of items that were given to her as gifts by Sheen. The items include a baseball cap for the Cincinatti Reds that he inscribed, a strand of pearls he purchased for her in Japan, a signed copy of his poetry book, a drug reference guide in which he wrote “From one druggie to another.” and even personal letters with very private details.

Lynn had dated Sheen in the early 1990s when she’d gotten a role in Young Guns II, which was her first transition from porn star to regular movies, something she was trying to desperately do. He was head over heels for her and courted her relentlessly until she finally agreed to go on a group date with him. Their date wound up at a strip club with actors from the western such as Kiefer Sutherland. The pair wound up in Charlie’s room later that night.

But at the time he was engaged to Kelly Preston, who is now married to John Travolta, but his love for Lynn could not just be forgotten, and so he ended the engagement with Preston within a month of meeting his new squeeze. This bothered the Sheen’s a lot. Charlie was just starting to get the roles that would make him a family oriented star. And they were very worried that her history would ruin that. Lynn remembers that it was not the pair that had the issues, but all of the people in between from agents to publicists, etc.

Their romance ended when Sheen started his old ways of looking around for new blood, even visiting the establishment of Heidi Fleiss, the Hollywood Madam and he sent Lynn a very nasty birthday card which sealed their fate.

As of how she feels today? Well she hopes that he can rise again and be able to fight the demons that he has in order to get back on his game.
